From standup comedian, New Yorker cartoonist, and author of MURDER BOOK, Hilary Fitzgerald Campbell comes this fresh comic memoir about being a snacker in a world of foodies. With equal parts humor and unflinching honesty, Hilary traces her life story through food from her childhood as the ultimate picky eater, her teenage and young adult years of disordered eating, and finally learning to love herself again as an adult. Punctuated without with ridiculous (but very real! and important!) snack recipes like "a baggie of trail mix" and "burnt toast." Campbell captures the reality of growing up in a woman's body in the '90s and '00s and show it shaped her life in work, friendship and dating. Especially dating. These hilarious stories of family, romance and belonging prove that if food can isolate us, it also has the power to connect us to what matters most. Aren't we all seeking love, self-acceptance and a good snack to get through it?

A young woman returns to her hometown to document the daily activities of her childhood neighborhood, but finds the outdoor bustle less active during the winter season.
I contributed to the upcoming book THE PEANUTS PAPERS, A one-of-a-kind celebration of America’s greatest comic strip–and the life lessons it can teach us–from a stellar array of writers and artists, edited by Andrew Blauner and published by The Library of America, out this Fall!

"A young woman documents the recent history of her family through handmade signs. The more signs we see, the more secrets are revealed. This is a documentary that plays like a personal essay, a wholly original and deeply felt take on the form." -No Budget Film Festival
My first book of cartoons Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, But You Could've Done Better published by Animal Media Group, available today!
This book started as a project to help me get over being dumped. I opened up submissions, asking the people of the internet to send me their heartbreak so I could illustrate it, and they did.
In February 2017 I took this book on a national storytelling book tour funded entirely by Kickstarter.
Have a story? Submissions will remain open as long as people keep getting dumped. Turn something ugly into something beautiful; Share your heartbreak with me.
Like this so much you wanna live it? BUY SWAG HERE!
